Pride Films and Plays is very excited to be back at Stage 773 for the Chicago Premiere of The Boy From Oz, the Broadway musical that tells the boisterous yet heart-warming true story of a Australian song-writer Peter Allen who ended up in the glamorous orbit of Judy Garland and her soon-to-be famous daughter Liza.

Directed by multiple Jeff Award Winner David Zak, with musical direction by Jeff Award Winner Robert Ollis, and choreography by Cameron Turner, The Boy From Oz is sensational in every way! Chris Logan plays Peter Allen, with Nancy Hays as Judy, and Michelle Lauto as Liza. PFP Artistic Ensemble Member Michelle McKenzie-Voigt is Peter’s mother Marion, and 13-year-old Garret Hershey is Peter’s younger self.

The score features Allen’s most moving and exuberant songs including the Oscar winning ‘The Best That You Can Do,’ plus ‘Quiet Please,’ I’d Rather Leave When I’m In Love,’ ‘Love Don’t Need A Reason,’ and the international smash hit ‘I Honestly Love You.’
