The Whole Network
is proud to present independent film maker Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon and his film “Cut: Slicing Through the Myths of Circumcision.”
The 70 minute film takes a critical look at the usually unquestioned practice of infant circumcision from the director’s Jewish perspective. Mr. Ungar-Sargon will host a discussion after the screening.
CUT is a documentary which discusses male circumcision from a religious, scientific, and ethical standpoint. Using cutting-edge research, in addition to interview footage of rabbis, philosophers and scientists, CUT challenges the viewer to confront their biases by asking difficult questions about this long-standing practice.
The screening is free to the public. To cover room rental snacks and drinks will available for sale. Children are welcome to attend the event with an adult, but please note that the film does contain footage of a circumcision.
