Rock historians view THE BANGLES as one of the greatest all-female bands ever. From their beginnings in Los Angeles’ Paisley Underground scene through their reign as the smart-pop princesses of the 1980s, the band has released numerous chart hits including Manic Monday, Hazy Shade Of Winter, the #1 ballad Eternal Flame, and the hit dance track Walk Like An Egyptian, which topped at Billboard’s #1 for four weeks in a row – a feat no other all-female band had achieved at that time.
