Best Hair Replacement Techniques in Chicago

Many men and women are very self-conscious about thinning hair and hair loss.
While aging may be the most obvious culprit, many doctors suggest that various factors may be to blame — ranging from a thyroid issue to disease to even stress.
Dr. Yates Hair Science Group is a premier hair restoration practice located in Vernon Hills, Illinois led by Dr. William Yates. Dr. Yates, MD is the top hair loss doctor and hair replacement surgeon for the Midwest. He is a leader in new technologies and is passionate about hair restoration.
He specializes in several hair restoration procedures and will work with clients to find the right method for their needs. “We are committed to the best technologies, products, and methods to complete and assist your hair regrowth or hair replacement goals,” says Dr. Yates. (All of products to assist your hair regrowth goals can be easily shipped to your door).

Many people wonder what it is going to cost?
The cost of your hair transplantation depends on the amount of hair being transplanted and is generally considered plastic surgery, therefore is not covered by medical insurance. However, Dr. Yates understands the important investment in your future, life, and self-confidence and offers great financing options, from interest-free financing to longer term options. You can call their office to see if you qualify for a financing option.
I have personally seen some of the results in person – and YES, it looks totally natural!
When hair transplantation is done correctly by a proficient surgeon, the results look so natural that nobody would know you had a procedure. To achieve the best, natural, and attractive results, you need a meticulous surgeon with proven results. Dr. Yates prefers the advanced follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure that involves harvesting individual follicles for the best results.

Dr. Yates is a published writer and international lecturer and teacher. His office offers state-of-art techniques and he is constantly working on ways to improve results. HE IS THE BEST!
“As a medical doctor I am trained to not make excuses but get the best results. I want hairloss not to be a burden but something we can conquer together.” – Dr. William D. Yates, MD

Chicago Dining Out For Life April 30th
Local Chicago nonprofit, EdgeAlliance, has this month announced more than 70 restaurants to participate in city-wide event, Dining Out for Life, to benefit and geared towards improving the lives of homeless persons living with AIDS.
In its 22nd year, Dining Out for Life brings restaurants and diners across the city together to rally around a pressing cause for Chicago; homelessness. Be part of a movement where millions of people across 60 cities come-out to dine-out on April 30th, “Dining Out for Life”, a campaign that annually raises $4 million in support of those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
EdgeAlliance is doing their part in Chicago by connecting more than 12,000 people and 115 community partners with over 80 restaurants in support of our mission of providing quality and affordable housing to those who are most in need.
Rick Roman, co-owner of The Signature Room at the 95th, and Honorary Chair of Dining Out for Life/Chicago 2015, reaffirmed that local restaurants have always been fully supportive of HIV/AIDS research and programming in this city. “We at The Signature Room at the 95th welcome the opportunity to show support for EdgeAlliance and their Dining Out for Life campaign by being a participating restaurant. Our shared support with residents of Chicago – to uphold the traditions of good taste and community engagement – makes this venture a natural fit,” he said. Participating restaurants around Chicago will donate a portion of their proceeds to EdgeAlliance, allowing its residents to sustain healthy lives through affordable housing and programming. Chicago is one of 60 cities across the United States and Canada participating in the event, making Dining Out for Life the single largest HIV/AIDS benefit in the country!
Actress and advocate Pam Grier joined Dining Out For Life as co-spokesperson (with Food Network host Ted Allen) to help raise support. “There is a resurgence of HIV among youth, gay men, women and ethnic minorities due to lack of education and the misperception that the epidemic is over and curable. Awareness and funds are declining – but you can help. Dine out on Thursday, April 24th for the most satisfying meal you’ll have all year.”
For more information on Dining Out for Life, please contact Joey Wasserman, Campaign Development Manager at 202-765-7442 or Jwasserman@edgealliance.org. Visit the official Dining Out for Life website at www.diningoutforlife.com/chicago for full list of participating restaurants.
Chicago Soap Makers Expanding
Chicago soapmakers Real. Soaps is expanding into a studio to increase production and begin teaching classes on soap making and natural products. But they need your help.
Shamus McClain started Real. Soaps because many “soaps” are not actually soap; they’re detergent, and the chemicals in them make them far less than natural – some are potentially dangerous. Sadly, it is this way with a lot of products, so I learned how to make them myself with REAL ingredients. I am self taught and since the beginning have been focused on taking what I have learned and sharing it with people so they can make smarter choices about the products they use.
What started as handmade, small-batch soap has grown over the past 3 years. I now have an ever-expanding line of all natural products. I continue to make every product in small batches with intention & care and with my own two hands. Real. Soaps has gained popularity through word of mouth, friends and family, Etsy, working with local shops, farmer’s markets, craft fairs and pop-up shops. I now stock over 20 stores here in Chicago and several out of state.
“Through 4 apartments I have been growing this company – and now Real. Soaps finally has a space to call its own! I have been offered an opportunity to grow my business in the form of my own work space. I will use this space to increase my own production and continue spreading the natural/green beauty message by teaching classes on how to make similar products on your own! As a maker, this will be my work space and a retail space for my product. As a teacher, I will share my knowledge with my community. ”

David A. Shifrin – Award Winning Cosmetic Surgery
How do select a great cosmetic doctor? Look at their credentials and awards.
Established in 2010, the award winning cosmetic surgery practice of David A Shifrin MD, provides the complete experience by combining excellent surgical results with personalized care.
Dr. David Shifrin specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body.
The nose can have a dramatic impact on our overall appearance. It is in a central position of the face, and when it is out of balance, it can create disharmony amongst other features. Nose shaping or rhinoplasty by Dr David Shifrin can have a profound effect on the appearance of the entire face. Rhinoplasty surgery utilizes techniques such as cartilage removal, nasal bone manipulation and/or tip shaping. It is designed to improve the appearance of the nose and, in some cases, to improve breathing. Dr Shifrin uses two techniques, closed and open, to modify nasal architecture.
Common Changes Include:
- Shortening, narrowing, or straightening
- Eliminating a prominent hump
- Refining the tip or nostrils
- Reducing a Wide or Bulbous Tip
“Many of our patients comment on their longstanding desire to change the appearance of their nose. While there are classic descriptions of what the ideal shape and size of a nose should be, the final decision for nose shaping is uniquely tailored for each individual’s face and goals,” says Dr. Shifrin.
Whether your nose shaping goals are small or you desire a more profound change, Dr. Shifrin has the experience and skill to help you achieve your goal of a better looking, naturally balanced nose.
If you would like to learn more about the Rhinoplasty procedure, click here to request a consultation with Dr Shifrin today. Alternatively you can call our office at (312) 590-3572 to schedule your appointment.
Dr. Shifrin maintains multiple convenient office locations. He focuses his time at Shifrin Plastic Surgery, Downtown Chicago, on improving the aesthetic appearance of his patients through the use of state of the art skin care, botox and fillers and surgery. He prides himself on enhancing his patient’s physical attributes, blending his love of anatomy and science with his surgical expertise to artistically refine the outward beauty of his patients.

Thursday, April 16th The Dicks from Texas (pictured)
The Dicks from Texas tells the story of the men, the myth and the music behind the band that defined Texas hardcore punk. Long before Austin made weirdness a civic virtue, The Dicks made it a cause. Three rawboned Marlboro Man types fronted by Gary Floyd, a fat queer with a penchant for fright wigs, this self-described “commie faggot band” helped put the Texas capital on the punk map in the early ’80s with anthems like “Dicks Hate the Police” and “Wheelchair Epidemic.”
