Whoopi Goldberg to Speak at Chicago House Luncheon

"There was a time I played on
both sides of the street.

Now I just go straight down
the middle of the street."

That surprising remark was made by Whoopi Goldberg to the audience at the Absolutely Fabulous 2002 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride Awards in  2002. Given Whoopi's history of public support for gay, lesbian, and bisexual issues, and the multiple lesbian and bisexual characters she has played on film, the announcement that Whoopi is bisexual probably shouldn't come as a big surprise.

Whoopi Goldberg, award-winning actor, producer and television host, is an outspoken human rights activist who is also well known for co-founding and hosting Comic Relief in the United States to raise funds for the homeless. She is a vigorous advocate for children, human rights, education, substance abuse, and in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Goldberg will be in Chicago Friday, November 4, 2011
for The 3rd Annual Speaker Series Luncheon
to benefit  Chicago House.

Time: 11:30am-2:00pm
