45th Chicago International Film Festival - Victor Skrebneski STREET SEXY Poster Unveiled

the freshest visions,
and the strongest cinematic stories.
For 45 years, the Chicago International Film Festival has brought you the brightest and boldest new films and filmmakers—from Slumdog Millionaire and Reservoir Dogs to Scorsese, Fassbinder, Wenders, and Herzog—first.
Did you chat with The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky or listen to Kevin Smith crack the audience up for an hour after Zack and Miri Make a Porno? Maybe you saw Viggo Mortensen, or Jada Pinkett Smith at her directorial debut? This year you can expect to see the most anticipated films and stars (Uma Thurman, Martin Landau, and Willem Dafoe to name a few), but the real fun is pushing
your boundaries and discovering something new.

VICTOR SKREBNESKI is a world famous photographer who has been connected with the festival since its beginnings. As a young boy, I began collecting his many stunning black and white posters that commemorated the Chicago Film Festival. I was, and still am, mesmerized by their beauty and simple elegance. Victor creates images that speak emotions. They represent glamour, beauty, elegance and are timeless captured moments.
LAST NIGHT Victor, along with members of the Film Festival, including Michael Kutza (founder and director of the festival), unveiled a new poster for this year!
The Chicago International Film Festival celebrated its 45th Anniversary this year with “The Search for Sexy,” a revitalization of the Festival’s famous Skrebneski collectible poster series.
In September, The Festival conducted a search for aspiring models wishing to join the ranks of celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Dolph Lundgren, Anna Nicole Smith and Christina Gidwitz, who have graced these legendarily provocative posters
featuring models posed seductively in Festival T-shirts.
From over 100 of Chicago’s sexiest inhabitants that auditioned, Skrebneski selected 4 fresh Chicago faces to serve as his new muses. The poster, which is now being referred to by Festival founder Michael Kutza as “Street Sexy,” was revealed at Rockit Bar & Grill last night, at “The Search For Sexy” Poster Reveal Party. The newest Festival poster is on sale now at online - Chicago Film Festival. Reserve by Phone: 1-312-683-0121
Michael explains, "When I first met Victor, I told him I'm starting this film festival...it's like Cannes, but Cannes is sexy! - Within two weeks, Chicago was sexy too, thanks to Victor and the first poster."
"The time was right to bring back a sexy poster."
