Coca Cola present Their New 6 Pack of Athletes for the 2010 Winter Olympics

Friday night, Coca Cola  gave  an awesome party at Millenium Parks Harris Rooftop Terrace!

CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT   is their theme for the 2010 Winter Olympics to be held in Vancouver.
Like the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Coco Cola is working with 6 top athletes.
To connect U.S. consumers with the spirit and excitement of the upcoming Games,
a special Coca-Cola "Six Pack" of athletes will be featured on
 collectible packaging and in-store materials.

At Friday's  party we had the honor of meeting with champions Rockne Brubaker and Keauna McLaughlin
(and his brother  Collin Brubaker, also a champion skater and from Chicago!)

We also got to chat with Shawn Johnson, Angela Ruggiero, Gretchen Bleiler,
Evan Lysacek and Apolo Anton Ohno.

The Coca-Cola Company has been an Olympic partner for 80 years and is the longest continuous corporate supporter of the Olympic Movement. The Company works with National Olympic Committees in more than 200 countries to help athletes train and compete. More than 90 percent of the Coca-Cola system's investment in the Olympic Games is
directed to athlete development and to assist in staging the Games.

Coke aims to be a carbon-neutral sponsor of the 2010 Winter Games and to this end has
a waste management program with specific and measurable goals.

Other aspects of the program include hybrid delivery vehicles,
low-energy cold drink equipment and staff uniforms made from recycled bottles.

In recognition of the Coca-Cola 's environmental commitment to the 2010 Games,
VANOC (the Vancouver Games organizing committee) awarded the company a Sustainability Star.

Although the economic impact of Coke's marketing and involvement has been considerable, and although a lot of Coke has flowed at the Games over the years, it is clear that there is far more to this Olympic
partner than just donating cash to the IOC and stocking the venues with cola.
