Underwear Party at Chicago's Hollywood Gay Beach
WHAT A DAY! The Hottest day at the beach, the busiest day at the beach, and the water was the coldest ever this year at 62 degrees! BRRRRR.
The 95 degree day brought out hundreds to Chicago's Hollywood / Osterman Gay Beach, hoping to cool off a bit. Unfortunately, with such a large crowd on the beach, over 500+, it was hard to get all of the people wearing underwear all together in one common area. But about 50-60 people showed up in their tightie-whities, or variations there of. Right as we were trying to organize everone for the underwear contest (that was like trying to herd cats!) the lifeguards ordered the beach close due to threatening weather! Out of the people we gathered, one was awarded BEST WET UNDERWEAR and another was awarded SEXIEST UNDERWEAR.
The bad weather passed and about an hour later the beach re-opened and all of die-hards returned until sunset!
All in all, it was a great day and we look forward to hosting another event next summer!
