Jump For AIDS Skydiving to Benefit TPAN August 21st

13,500 Feet Above the Earth

The Plane door opens,

You feel the rush of the wind,

You see nothing but sky,

Your Heart is Racing,

Your mouth goes dry,

       THEN IT HAPPENS...

Last summer Grab Magazine publisher Stacy Bridges turned 40 and he decided that he was stagnet and needed something exciting.  He had always wanted to skydive just to say he did it.  Little did he know that it would change his life and his outlook on everything.  He did his first jump in August and had his jump video taped and shared it with everyone he knows.  "Words cannot describe what I experienced that day, my video speaks for itself".  After his third jump he decided he wanted to share this experience with the rest of the world.

He has sponsored many friends on the walk for aids, the run for aids and the ride for aids. Why not a jump for A.I.D.S.?  He ran the idea past his family and friends and everyone agreed that it was a great idea. So this is JUMP for A.I.D.S.  "As cliché as it sounds I'm not just doing this for the adrenaline rush I'm doing it for all my friends that I have lost to A.I.D.S., my friends who I know would be tickled that I'm experiencing life not just living it.  So I am doing this to remember them all, when im free falling and experiencing something most people never will, I'm thinking of my friends that are gone and what they meant to me. So come jump, take that leap of faith out of a perfectly good airplane and just do it because you can.  I can promise you it will change your life!"

There will be 3 launch parties to answer any questions on the jump, meet others that want to jump.  Also this will be a time to turn in your pledge forms and to sign up for the jump. Some people asked about car pooling to the location so this will be a good time for that also.

First party will be at Cornelias (750 W. Cornelia) 7-9pm Tuesday August 11th
Second party will be held (To be announced later today) 7-9pm Wednesday August 12th.
Third Party will be at Hydrate (3458 N. Halsted) 7-9pm Thursday August 13th.

Questions that you can't find the answer to on the JUMP FOR AIDS site, please call Grab Magazine today and ask for Stacy 773-857-2262 or come to one of the launch parties.

    Hello!

I am flattered that you used the 2006 Gay Way World Record photo (I'm the red/yellow/black guy in that photo). That said, it would be ideal to credit the photographer as Nigel Rowlan, and to credit http://www.RainbowSkydive.com for the use of that photograph.

We also held Rainbow Boogie 2009 at Skydive Cross Keys and will be hosting there again for Rainbow Boogie 2010.
