America's business community realizes the
vast economic rewards of marketing their products and services to the GLBT community. The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Advertising Age have attested to the economic
potential of this evolving market.
Under 6% of gay

Best Gay Chicago: Best Valentines Dinner in Chicago @ CDA Cafe Des Architects @ Sofitel
Best Valentines Dinner in Chicago @ CDA Cafe Des Architects @ Sofitel
I can pretty much guarantee that one of the Best Valentine dinners in Chicago will be at the Cafe des Architects located in the Sofitel Water Tower! I have dined at this restaurant 3 times in the last 3 months, and it has been pretty flawless, everytime! I am always WOWed by the food and the flavors. And the service has always been spot on.
We first dined here at Thanksgiving. Had an excellent waiter. Had a couple glasses of wine with dinner. Went back during the Christmas holiday. Had a different waiter - but our previous waiter stopped by to say "hello." We couldn't decide on a wine. So just picked a Chardonnay off the menu that sounded good. Our waiter returns with 2 bottles - and he says, "Are you sure you want this Chardonnay? or the Sauvignon blanc you had at last time you were here???" - I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night! How could he possibly remember what we drank?? But he did!
Executive Chef Martial Nougier (formerly of one sixtyblue) updates traditional French flavors, offering gorgeous dishes with influences from the Mediterranean, Asia, and Latin America. About the food he says, My food is not French. It’s French technique. Pastry chef Suzanne Inaz (also from one sixtyblue) presents delicous pieces of art for the grand finale to your meal.
Sofitel sets the mood for romance this Valentine’s Day. I am told the lobby will be filled with roses and a photographer will be on hand taking photos for the evening. CAD gave me a sneak peak at the Valentines menu! The prix fixe meal will run $75 and main courses will include choice of scallops, lamb, beef, or hen. The sensual menu will also include choices like Kumamoto oysters, Maine lobster salad, Artichoke salad, rack of lamb with a white bean purée with sweet garlic and almonds,Swan Creek Guinea hen with a juniper berry sauce. And for dessert, choices like the chocolate pistachio dome and melt-in-your-mouth banana creme brulee!
Wonderfully eclectic cuisine, a captivating setting, and extraordinary service are what make Cafe des Architects an exceptional dining experience. If you want to avoid the busy Saturday night Valentines crowd, the restaurant offers an amazing menu every evening and a brunch to WOW you on Sundays!
And check this out - Sundays and Mondays , "Neighborhood Friends' dinner" - $29 for adults, January 18 through April 27, Prix Fixe 3 Course Dinner! Savor an enchanting meal at an extraordinary value.
