World of Chocolate Benefit Big Success in Chicago

WOW! This was an awesome event.
 Benefiting the AIDS Foundation of Chicago,   World of Chocolate  was a sweet success.

22 holiday trees,
33 chocolate vendors,
243 volunteers and more than
1,300 guests created an
evening to remember!







The seventh annual  holiday extravaganza, World of Chocolate, tasted sweet victory with a stellar turnout for attendance and funds raised.  Chocolate enthusiasts indulged in mouth-watering creations from some of the city’s finest restaurants, chocolatiers and caterers at the Hilton Chicago. This one-of-a-kind event commemorated World AIDS Day and raised more than $210,000 for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Awards were given to:

The Hot Chocolate  Award-  tastiest treat/camalized banana 
Zelda's Sweet Shop

The Loco Cocoa -  creative use of chocolate as an ingredient - Chocolate bacon
Just Like U Like It Catering

The Sweet Booth Award - for best presentation (table dressing, signs, other decor)
Palmer House Hilton

The Chocoholic's Dream - artistry award for most visually enticing treat
Hilton Chicago

 

There were so many creative uses of chocolate -

Sweet Endeavours for its pistachio and chocolate

Cyndy's Sweet Treats - for its blueberry chocolate toffee

Eno Wine Room at the Fairmont Hotel - for its cabernet/ blue cheese and proscuitto dish

Chocolate Potpourri - pretzal balls and spiced truffles

Chocolatines - luxurious truffles
