International Mr. Leather - IML Chicago & The Grabbys
MEMORIAL WEEKEND in Chicago means two things - Leathermen and Pornstars! This year marks the
30th Annual International Mr. Leather Weekend
plus the 2008 Grabby Awards.
IML Opening ceremonies begin Thursday, May 22nd. The Hyatt Regency on Wacker will be the center of all the activities this year. 8pm is the opening ceremonies in the Grand ballroom.
IML Leather Market opens on Friday at noon - That's a whole party in itself!
Saturday night you have the Pecs & Personality contest at 8pm - but across town, you'll have Gay Chicago Magazine, Chi Chi LaRue, and about 3 dozen or more porn stars entertaining and handing out the annual GRABBYS - Gay Erotic Video awards at the Park West Theater.
Sunday daytime, porn stars come and go all day at North End. At the RECOVERY BRUNCH, the shades are drawn at the bar, there are pornos shown on TV's all around the bar, DVD giveaways, autographs, underwear auctions and more.
Also Sunday - the leather fun continues all day at the IML market, then at 6pm with the main contest and an 8pm Victory Party at The House of Blues.
Monday, for those still alive, is a half day of the IML Market and a 9pm Closing Party - Black and Blue Party at Excalibur - always a fun time!
